A heartfelt thank you to all the Idaho players that played every Tuesday and Wednesday in the States Cup. Idaho players engaged various states in online chess at chess.com during the States Cup, but we missed out on the playoffs. For most of us, it was a learning experience and the program is meant for players to meet other players, have fun, and compete with one another with out much pressure. Idaho didn't field the strongest teams but wished to include players that would benefit and grow from the event that was sponsored by Jacob Mayer (Washington). Our teams included:
